What's New In GraceGTK?
GraceGTK is an advanced data analysis tool that lets you create and edit detailed graphs from numerical data. This is an advanced software application made as a fork of grace-5.1.22 that uses GTK API. It's capable of exporting projects to ASCII data format. Portability benefits This is a portable program, so you can save it anywhere on the HDD and simply click its executable to launch GraceGTK. Otherwise, you can save it to a USB flash drive to directly run it on any PC with minimum effort and no previous installers. More importantly, it doesn't add new entries to the Windows registry. Plain and simple interface The GUI is represented by a command-line dialog and graphical window that must run side by side. Although it doesn't contain particularly compelling graphical elements, the GUI is user-friendly and lets you start a new project from scratch or import data from ASCII or Xfig file types. Explore the drawing box The drawing box puts at your disposal tools for zooming in and out of the graph, autoscale, expanding and shrinking the viewport, and for scrolling to the left, right, up or down. The app can be asked to automatically set the tick spacing and scale on the nearest set. Plus, you can push or pop the viewport from the stack, set the graph type to GRAPH_FIXED (y/x ratio=1) or GRAPH_XY, as well as pick an object to popup the menu, move the item, copy or delete it. Make data set operations and transformations GraceGTK lets you perform data set operations and sort, reverse, split or join them, evaluate expressions, view histograms, manage running properties, differences and derivations, apply digital filters, extract features, digitize curves, and customize the plot, graph and set appearance. Plus, you can edit set properties. Parameters can be saved to file and later used. Evaluation and conclusion The tool didn't put a strain on the overall performance of the PC in our tests, thanks to the fact that it needed low CPU and RAM to work properly. It didn't hang, crash or display error messages. On the other hand, the interface needs a lot of improvements in the visual department. Nevertheless, you can test GraceGTK for yourself if you're looking to generate graphs based on numerical expressions.
